Standard Services - automatically activated when you connect

As a SIMplus customer, the following services are automatically activated when you connect.

Caller ID

Caller ID allows you to view the number of the person calling you on your screen. This service also allows other people to view your number.

Call Hold/Wait

Call Hold/Wait allows you to put a caller on hold and make or receive another call. It also allows you to switch between two mobile phone calls.

Call Divert

Call Divert allows you to divert calls to another phone number or to your voicemail.

SMS

SMS (short message service) allows you to send a text message from your phone to another mobile phone. You can send messages (up to 160 characters long) to 1 or more people without retyping the message. (This function is handset specific).

International SMS

You can send a text message to an international mobile phone number in the same way you send an SMS domestically.

Voicemail

Voicemail records messages from other callers when you cannot answer the call.

Optional Services - allows you to customise your mobile phone to suit your needs

MMS

Multimedia Messaging (MMS) allows you to send and receive pictures, sounds, animated graphics and short video messages.

Fax Mailbox

With Fax Mailbox you can receive faxes into your voicemail box on your mobile phone and have them printed to a fax machine of your choice.

Paging

A professional operator will answer your mobile phone calls while you can't, with a greeting of your choice, and then send the caller's message to your mobile phone as an SMS.

124 'Yes' (directory services)

The Optus 124’YES’ service allows you request an operator to connect you to the most publicly listed telephone numbers in Australia by dialling 124YES from your handset at anytime.

WAP

Similar to the internet, WAP allows you to access interactive information, services and email from your WAP compatible digital mobile phone.

Wireless Internet

Wireless Internet utilises SIMplus connection to the Optus Internet Gateway to access data services and the Internet on your personal computer or PDA (Personal Data Assistant).

International Roaming

International Roaming allows you to make and receive calls using your existing mobile phone number while you travel internationally. You can use your mobile in over 115 countries, with over 200 different networks worldwide.
